Terasor Is Open for Pilots: How to Join and Start Earning
Terasor is now open for pilot registration. If you own a drone and want to turn your skills into paid work, this is the moment to get in early.
We have built a marketplace that connects drone pilots with clients who need aerial photography, video, inspections and creative content. The platform handles job posting, bidding, payments and delivery so you can focus on flying.
This post explains what Terasor is, how it works and why joining during the beta gives you a head start.
What Is Terasor?
Terasor is a peer-to-peer marketplace for drone services. Clients post what they need, whether that is a roof inspection, real estate footage, event coverage or a creative lifestyle shoot. Pilots browse available jobs, submit bids and deliver the work. Terasor handles the rest.
The platform is designed for both sides of the transaction:
- Clients get transparent pricing, verified pilots and secure payments
- Pilots get a steady pipeline of jobs without needing to build their own website, chase leads or handle invoicing
How It Works
1. Create your pilot profile
Sign up and build your profile. Add your bio, set your service area and register your drones with make and model details. Clients can see your rating, completed charters and reviews when evaluating your bids.
2. Browse and bid on jobs
Clients post charters (job requests) with details about what they need, where they need it and when. You can browse available charters in your area and submit a bid with your proposed price, a brief description of your approach and a suggested date and time.
3. Win the job and fly
If the client accepts your bid, payment is securely held in escrow while you complete the work. You fly the job, capture the footage and upload your deliverables through the platform.
4. Get paid
Once the client reviews and accepts the deliverables, payment is released to your Stripe account. You keep 90 percent of the job value, minus Stripe processing fees. Terasor takes a 10 percent platform fee to cover support and infrastructure.
Three Ways to Work
Terasor offers three charter types, each suited to different kinds of jobs:
Standard Charters. The client posts a job and pilots submit bids with their price and availability. Best for custom or complex work where you want to propose your approach.
Swift Charters. The client sets a fixed price. No bidding, no waiting. You accept the job, fly it and upload your deliverables. Best for straightforward, well-defined tasks where speed matters.
Livestream Charters. Real-time drone video streamed directly to the client. Best for remote inspections, virtual site visits and live event coverage. Priced per minute with a premium rate for the first minute.
What Kinds of Jobs Are on Terasor?
The range is broader than you might expect:
- Roof and building inspections
- Real estate photography and video
- Construction progress monitoring
- Event coverage (weddings, sports, festivals)
- Small business marketing footage
- Creative and lifestyle content (influencers, dancers, athletes)
- Insurance documentation after storms or damage
- Agricultural and land surveys
- Holiday and travel footage for tourists
- Live-streamed site inspections and virtual tours
Multi-Currency and Global Reach
Terasor supports five currencies: GBP, USD, EUR, CAD and AUD. Your fee currency is auto-detected from your location but can be changed at any time. This means you can price your services in the currency that makes sense for your market, whether you are flying in the UK, Europe, North America, Australia or the Middle East.
Earn Teramiles
Every completed charter earns you Teramiles, our pilot loyalty programme. Teramiles are awarded based on the value of each job you complete. Build up your balance over time as you take on more work.
Why Join During the Beta?
Being an early pilot on Terasor comes with real advantages:
Less competition. Fewer pilots means more visibility for your bids. Early adopters will build reviews and reputation before the platform scales.
Shape the platform. Beta pilots have a direct line to the development team. Your feedback influences how features are built and improved.
Build your reputation early. Ratings and completed jobs compound over time. Pilots who start now will have a strong track record when client volume increases.
Free to join. There is no subscription fee or listing charge. You only pay the platform fee when you complete a paid job.
What You Need to Get Started
- A drone capable of capturing quality photos or video
- Relevant pilot certification for your country (e.g. Flyer ID and Operator ID in the UK, Part 107 in the US, A1/A2/A3 in the EU, RePL in Australia)
- Liability insurance
- A Stripe account for receiving payments (you will set this up during onboarding)
Ready to Start?
If you have a drone and the skills to use it well, Terasor gives you a straightforward path to paid work. No cold calling, no website building, no chasing invoices. Just find jobs, bid, fly and get paid.
