When do I pay as a client?
You only pay when you accept a pilot's bid. The payment is held securely in escrow until you approve the delivered footage. If there's an issue, our dispute resolution team will help.
How does escrow work?
When you accept a bid, the full amount is charged to your card and held securely. After the pilot uploads the footage, you have 48 hours to review it. Once approved (or after the review period), the payment is released to the pilot.
What's included in the 10% platform fee?
The platform fee covers escrow protection, dispute resolution, customer support, and platform maintenance. We take exactly 10% of the charter amount. Pilots receive the remaining funds after Stripe processing fees (typically ~86-87% of the charter amount).
Are there any hidden fees?
No. Clients pay exactly what they agree to with the pilot. We take a 10% platform fee, and Stripe processing fees (1.5-3%) are deducted from the pilot's payout. There are no monthly fees, signup fees, or hidden charges for either party.
How do pilots get paid?
Pilots connect their bank account via Stripe during onboarding. Once a client approves the footage (or after the 48-hour review period), payment is automatically released and arrives in 2-3 business days.
What if there's a dispute?
If either party raises a dispute, the payment is frozen while our team reviews the case. We'll work with both parties to reach a fair resolution, which may include full or partial refunds.
