No. Terasor does not hold or verify pilots' documents, and a profile shows what a pilot has stated rather than anything we have confirmed. What we check, and what you should sets out what each credential actually means, what changes between the day one is issued and the day of your flight, and four questions worth asking before you book.

Terasor is a platform where anyone can charter a Drone.

Whether you want to survey a building, video an event, deliver a package or, in the not too distant future, take a trip, Terasor is the place to find a pilot who can help.

Drones are becoming an increasingly important part of commercial and civilian infrastructure, with rapidly evolving technology, regulation and economics.

To provide maximum flexibility in this evolving landscape, there are currently 3 different ways to charter a Terasor:

- **Quote-Based Terasor:** Maximum flexibility, for whatever, and whenever you need. Describe your requirements and wait for Pilots to provide quotes.
- **Fixed-Price Terasor:** When you only need video of a location, at any time, and have a budget. Just set the location and price, then await video submissions.
- **Live-Stream Terasor:** For ASAP coverage of an emerging situation. Priced per minute, while you watch.

Question 3

How do I dispute a completed flight?

Accepted Answer

If you're unsatisfied with the deliverables, you can raise a dispute:

**For Quoted and Fixed-Price Terasors:**

- **Within 48 hours** of downloading deliverables (Quoted)
- **Within 48 hours** of approving submission (Fixed-Price)

**For Livestream Terasors:**

- **Within 24 hours** of session completion
- Only for quality/technical issues during the stream itself

**To raise a dispute:**

1. Go to the request details
2. Tap "Raise Dispute"
3. Describe the issue in detail (required)
4. Provide evidence if available (screenshots, descriptions)

**What happens next:**

- Payment is immediately **frozen** (neither released nor refunded)
- An admin will review the dispute within 2-3 business days
- Both you and the pilot may be contacted for more information
- Admin decision is **final and binding**

**Possible outcomes:**

- **Full refund to you** (if pilot clearly failed to deliver)
- **Full payment to pilot** (if deliverables meet the request requirements)
- **Partial split** (if there are issues on both sides)

How does Terasor protect my payment?

Accepted Answer

Terasor does not store your payment information and all transactions are made via the trusted international payments provider, Stripe. To further protect your interests, we use **escrow protection** for all Terasor types:

**Quoted and Fixed-Price Terasors:**

1. Your payment is **authorized** (held by Stripe, not charged)
2. When you accept/approve, payment is **captured** but **held in escrow**
3. Payment only releases to pilot after:
   - You approve deliverables, OR
   - Review period expires without dispute

**Livestream Terasors:**

1. Maximum duration is **authorized** upfront
2. **Actual streamed time** is captured during/after session
3. **Unused authorization** is released immediately
4. Captured amount releases to pilot after session ends (no review period)

**Protection features:**

- Pilots cannot access funds until the flight completes successfully
- Disputes freeze payment until admin resolution
- Cancellations trigger automatic refunds per policy
- Stripe-level security and fraud protection

**Platform fee:**

- **10% of charter amount** goes to Terasor
- Covers escrow protection, dispute resolution, platform maintenance, and support

How do Quote-Based Terasors work?

Accepted Answer

Once you submit a request, it becomes visible to pilots in your area who can browse and quote on it. Your request will remain open for **30 days**. If no quotes are received within this period, the request automatically expires.

While your request is open, and prior to accepting a quote, you can:

- **Cancel it** at no cost
- **Edit the details** such as location, timing preferences, or description

You can have up to **3 active requests** at any time.

What happens after I receive a quote?

Accepted Answer

When a pilot submits a quote, you'll receive a notification. You can review the quote details including:

- Proposed price and currency
- Proposed date/time for the flight
- Pilot's description and any notes

To **accept a quote**:

1. Review the quote details
2. Tap "Accept Quote"
3. Complete the payment authorization

**Payment timing depends on when the flight is scheduled:**

- **Flight is more than 24 hours away**: Your payment is authorized (held) but not captured until closer to the flight time
- **Flight is within 24 hours**: Payment is captured immediately upon acceptance

Once you accept a quote, all other quotes on that request are automatically rejected, and the request moves to "In Progress" status.

What happens at flight time?

Accepted Answer

At the agreed date and time, the pilot will undertake the flight as described. Depending on the nature of the flight, this may or may not require your presence or involvement. For example:

- You may need to provide access to a specific location
- You may have a package that the pilot will deliver

The pilot has **48 hours** after the scheduled flight time to upload any deliverables (photos, videos, etc.) to the platform. If they need more time, there's an additional **24-hour grace period** before the request is automatically cancelled.

What happens after the flight?

After the pilot marks the request as complete and uploads deliverables:

1. **You'll receive a notification** that footage is ready for download
2. **You have 48 hours after your first download** to review the deliverables and either:
   - Approve the work (payment releases to pilot)
   - Raise a dispute if there's an issue

**If you don't download or review:**

- Payment automatically releases to the pilot **7 days after upload**, assuming no dispute is raised

**Possible outcomes:**

Can I change or cancel a Quote-Based Terasor?

Of course, but the rules differ depending on timing, as pilots have preparation and/or travel time.

**Before accepting a quote:**

- Cancel anytime with **no cost**
- Edit request details freely

**After accepting a quote (payment captured):**

Cancellation refunds depend on how close you are to the scheduled flight:

How do Fixed-Price Terasors work?

This is a **fixed-price, on-demand** charter where you set the price upfront and multiple pilots can submit footage directly, with no bidding required. Fixed-Price Terasors are ideal when:

- You need footage quickly
- You have a budget in mind
- You want to preview the footage before confirming

**Key differences from Quote-Based Terasors:**

- **No bidding process:** you set the price, pilots submit work
- **No scheduling:** pilots work on their own timeline within the submission window
- **Multiple submissions:** several pilots can submit footage for the same request
- **Faster turnaround:** pilots can start working as soon as uploads open

How do I create a Fixed-Price Terasor?

Accepted Answer

To create a Fixed-Price Terasor:

1. Select "Fixed Price" as your request type
2. Enter your location and requirements
3. **Set your fixed price**
4. Set the **expiry time:** how long pilots have to submit footage (up to 7 days)
5. Submit and authorize payment

**You will not be charged immediately.** Your payment is authorized (held), but only captured when you approve a submission.

What happens after I create a request?

Accepted Answer

Once you submit your Fixed-Price Terasor request:

1. **Request becomes visible** to pilots in your area immediately
2. **Upload window opens** (after a 30 minute delay)
3. **Pilots submit footage** directly, and you'll receive notifications for each submission
4. **You review submissions** and can either approve or reject each one
5. **Request expires** after your set expiry time (1-7 days from creation)

**While your request is open:**

- You can **cancel** at any time before approving a submission (full refund)
- You **cannot edit** Fixed-Price Terasor request details once created
- Pilots can view your request but cannot see other pilots' submissions

How do I review and approve submissions?

Accepted Answer

When a pilot submits footage to your Fixed-Price Terasor request:

1. **You'll receive a notification**
2. **Go to the request details** to view a watermarked preview of each submission
3. **Review each submission**:
   - Preview the footage/deliverables
   - Check quality and requirements
   - View pilot profile and reviews
4. **Take action** on each submission:
   - **Approve**: Payment is captured and released to pilot (10% platform fee)
   - **Reject**: Specify reason (poor quality, wrong location, etc.)

**Review timing:**

- You have **24 hours** to approve or reject each submission
- If you don't act within 24 hours, the submission is **automatically approved**
- After approval, you can download the full-quality deliverables

**Rejection limits:**

- Maximum **3 rejections** per Fixed-Price request
- After 3 rejections, the request is **automatically cancelled** and you receive a full refund

What happens after I approve a submission?

Accepted Answer

Once you approve a submission:

1. **Payment is immediately captured** from your authorized amount
2. **Pilot receives payout** (less platform and Stripe processing fees)
3. **Request status** changes to "Completed"
4. **You can download** the full-quality, original deliverables

**All other pending submissions** are automatically voided, so you only pay for one submission.

Can I edit or cancel a Fixed-Price Terasor?

Accepted Answer

You can cancel, but you cannot edit it, as a pilot may have already begun work based on your original specification and price.

**Before approving any submission:**

- Cancel anytime with **full refund** (100%)
- No penalty to you
- Your payment authorization is released

**After approving a submission:**

- **Cannot cancel:** payment has been released to the pilot
- If deliverables don't meet requirements, contact support for dispute resolution

**If request expires with no submissions:**

- Automatically cancelled
- **Full refund** to you
- No fees charged

What if I reject all submissions?

Accepted Answer

You can reject up to **3 submissions** per Fixed-Price Terasor request. After rejecting 3 submissions:

- The request is **automatically cancelled**
- You receive a **full refund** (100%)
- No further submissions are accepted
- The request closes immediately

**Why 3 rejections?**
This prevents indefinite request extensions while giving you multiple options to find suitable footage. If 3 pilots can't meet your requirements, the request details may need revision.

What is a Livestream Terasor?

Accepted Answer

A Livestream Terasor allows you to receive **real-time video** from a pilot's drone directly to your device. This is ideal for:

- Live event coverage (weddings, sports, festivals)
- Real-time site inspections
- Remote monitoring
- Aliens landing and you want to get a good look at them asap

You cannot make complicated requests like video type, scheduling, or delivery. Try Quote-Based Terasors if that's what you need.

**Key features:**

- **Live video** streamed directly to your browser or mobile app
- **Recording:** the full session is automatically recorded for later download
- **Pay-per-minute** pricing: you only pay for the time streamed

How does Livestream pricing work?

Accepted Answer

To keep responses as fast as possible, there is no price negotiation and deliverables are restricted to simple video only. Livestream Terasors use **per-minute pricing**, in US dollars:

**When billing starts:**

- Your authorization covers the maximum duration (e.g., 30 min = $340)
- Billing countdown starts **10 seconds after video begins playing**
- You're only charged for actual streamed time
- Unused authorization is released after the session ends

How do I create a Livestream Terasor?

To create a Livestream Terasor:

1. Select "Livestream" as your request type
2. Enter location and job description
3. **Set maximum duration** (1-30 minutes)
4. **Set expiry time:** how long the request remains available for pilots to accept
5. Authorize payment for the maximum possible charge
6. Submit

**After submission:**

- Request becomes visible to pilots immediately
- Pilots can accept and schedule a session time
- Only **one pilot** can be assigned per Livestream Terasor

Once a pilot accepts your Livestream Terasor:

1. **Session is scheduled:** pilot proposes a start time
2. **You receive notification** with connection details
3. **Payment is authorized** for maximum duration (e.g., 30 min = $340)
4. **Session countdown begins:** pilot has 48 hours to start streaming

**Before the session:**

- Test your connection (optional test link provided)
- Ensure you're in a location with good internet
- Have the app/browser ready when the session is scheduled

How do I watch the Livestream?

When the pilot begins streaming:

1. **You receive a notification** that the stream is live
2. **Open the request** in your app or browser
3. **Video begins automatically** after a few seconds
4. **10-second countdown** appears before billing starts
5. **Watch the live feed:** video adjusts quality based on your connection

**During the stream:**

- Video controls: pause, volume, fullscreen
- Connection status indicator shows stream health
- Timer shows elapsed time and current cost
- **End session** button stops the stream and billing

**If connection drops:**

- Pilot has **2 minutes** to reconnect before session auto-ends
- You're only billed for time actually streamed (not reconnection gaps)

Question 23

When does billing start?

Accepted Answer

Billing begins **10 seconds after video starts playing** in your browser/app. This gives you time to:

- Verify the video is working
- Check you're seeing the correct location
- Cancel if there's an immediate technical issue

**Billing continues until:**

- **You manually end the session** (recommended)
- **Maximum duration is reached** (auto-ends)
- **Pilot ends the session**
- **Connection is lost** for more than 2 minutes (auto-ends)

**You are only charged for the time the video was actively streaming**, rounded up to the nearest minute.

How do I end a Livestream session?

Accepted Answer

To end your Livestream session:

1. **Tap "End Session"** button (always visible during stream)
2. **Confirm** you want to end the session
3. **Session immediately stops** and billing ends
4. **Payment is captured** for actual streamed time only
5. **Recording is processed** and available for download within 10 minutes

**Auto-end scenarios:**

- **Maximum duration reached**: Session automatically ends at your set limit
- **Connection lost**: If stream drops for 2+ minutes, session auto-ends
- **Pilot ends stream**: Pilot can end from their side (rare)

**After the session:**

- Unused authorization is released (e.g., paid $120 of $340 authorized)
- Recording becomes available in request details
- You can download the full recording for your records

Can I get a recording of the Livestream?

Accepted Answer

**Yes!** Every Livestream session is automatically recorded at full quality.

**Recording availability:**

- Available **10-15 minutes** after the session ends (processing time)
- Stored for **30 days** from session completion
- Download as MP4 file from request details
- Full quality (same as live stream, typically 720p-1080p)

**What's included:**

- Full video from start to end of session
- Does NOT include audio (privacy protection)
- Timestamped with session date/time

**Note:** If the session had connection issues or reconnections, the recording may have brief gaps where the stream dropped out.

What if the Livestream connection fails?

Accepted Answer

If the video stream drops during your session:

**Immediate actions:**

- **Pilot is notified** and has 2 minutes to reconnect
- **You see "Reconnecting..."** status on screen
- **Billing is paused** during reconnection attempts

**After 2 minutes without reconnection:**

- Session **automatically ends**
- You're **only charged** for time actually streamed (not the reconnection period)
- Recording captures only the portions that successfully streamed

**Refund policy for failed streams:**

- Session ends within **first minute** due to technical issues: **Full refund**
- Multiple disconnections reducing quality: **Contact support for partial refund**
- Clean ending by either party: **No refund** (you pay for streamed time)

Can I cancel a Livestream Terasor?

- Request can be accepted by another pilot

**After billing starts (10 seconds into stream):**

- **Cannot cancel:** you pay for streamed time
- You can end the session early (e.g., end at 5 minutes instead of 30)
- Unused time is refunded automatically

**If pilot fails to start stream:**

Terasor is global. You can post a charter from almost anywhere and connect with local pilots wherever they operate, subject to local drone regulations. We are always expanding our pilot coverage.

Is Terasor free for pilots to join?

Accepted Answer

Yes. There's no subscription fee, no signup fee, and no monthly charge. We only take a 10% commission when you complete a charter.

How much do pilots keep?

Pilots keep 90% of every charter. Standard payment processing fees (Stripe) apply separately.

What drone do I need?

Accepted Answer

Any drone capable of the kind of work you want to take on. A good starting point is a drone that shoots 4K footage with image stabilisation. You'll list your equipment on your profile so clients can see what you fly.

When do I get paid?

Once the client approves your footage, or the review period passes without a response, your payment is released from escrow to your connected Stripe account and typically reaches your bank within a few business days.
