Community Rules
How we keep the Terasor pilot community useful and welcoming.
Welcome to the Terasor pilot community
This is a space for licensed and aspiring drone pilots to talk about the work, share what you've shot, swap notes on gear and conditions, and help each other navigate the regulatory side of the craft. We try to keep it useful and welcoming. The rules below are how we do that.
1. Be respectful.
Disagree with the post, not the person. Direct, blunt, and technical is fine — pilots talk like pilots. Personal attacks, slurs, harassment, and pile-ons are not. If a discussion gets heated, step back. Moderators may step in regardless.
2. Stay on-topic.
Each category has its own focus — Gear, Aerial Photography Techniques, Flying Conditions, Regulations & Licensing, Showcase, General. Posts that don't match a category may be moved or removed. General is the catch-all for drone-related conversation that doesn't fit elsewhere — it's not the catch-all for non-drone content.
3. Keep marketplace business in the marketplace.
The forum is for community discussion, not for finding work or hiring pilots. "Anyone want to fly X for me?" belongs in a charter, not a thread. Pilots offering services, prices, or direct contact details will have those parts redacted automatically and may be moderated.
4. No off-platform contact details.
Email addresses, phone numbers, social handles, messenger links, and personal websites are filtered automatically. Don't try to work around the filter with creative formatting — moderators will spot it. The point of the platform is that conversation, vetting, and payment happen here.
5. Share work you have rights to.
Only post images, video stills, and 360 panoramas you flew yourself or have explicit permission to share. Don't post other pilots' footage as your own. Don't post anything where the subject would reasonably expect privacy (identifiable individuals without consent, people in their gardens, sensitive locations). Aerial law varies by jurisdiction — if you're not sure, err on the side of don't post.
6. Fly legally; don't encourage others to break the law.
Discuss regulations honestly, frustrations included. Don't post evidence of illegal flights or advise others to fly in restricted airspace, near airports, over crowds, or beyond visual line of sight where prohibited. Pilots who post clear evidence of unsafe or illegal flying may have their accounts reviewed.
7. Self-promotion in moderation.
Sharing interesting work from your charters is encouraged. Mentioning your business or talking about gear you're selling is fine in context. Posts that are only promotion with no community value will be treated as spam.
8. Reports go to admins, not other users.
If you see a post that breaks these rules, use the Report button. Don't try to moderate threads yourself — replying to argue that someone broke a rule usually makes the thread worse. Admins review every report.
9. Moderation is logged but final.
If a post gets hidden, locked, or removed, the action is recorded. If you think it was wrong, contact admin — don't repost the same content under a new title. Repeated violations escalate: warnings, temporary suspensions, then permanent removal from the community.
10. Be the kind of pilot you'd want flying a job for you.
The community works because most people show up in good faith — they want to share, learn, and help. Aim for that standard.
