- Required for any drone over 250g ($25 per label; min age 16; visitors limited to 1 label).
- Remote ID
- Identification is via the physical registration label (no general broadcast Remote ID mandate).
- Maximum altitude
- 60 m (about 200 ft) without a permit.
- Line of sight
- VLOS (day or night if in sight). Above 60 m, BVLOS or over-25kg needs an Activity Permit.
- No-fly and distance rules
- No flying within 5 km of airports/airbases without a permit; prohibited/protected areas off-limits; no flying over crowds or moving vehicles.
- Commercial and paid work
- Any paid operation needs a UA Operator Permit + Class 1 Activity Permit + a UA Pilot Licence, regardless of drone size.
- Notable restrictions
- As a dense city-state, most of Singapore is near the 5 km airport radius or in restricted zones.
- Penalties
- Flying an unregistered 250g+ drone: fine up to SGD $10,000 and/or 6 months' imprisonment (first offence); higher for prohibited areas.
