Quote-Based is the charter type for specific jobs: a client describes what they need, local pilots quote, and the client picks one. It is where most bespoke work comes through.
How it flows:
The client posts a charter with the location, timing and requirements.
You submit a bid with your price and availability.
The client chooses a pilot, their card is authorised, and it is charged 24 hours before the flight.
You fly, upload the footage, and once it is approved you keep 90 percent of the charter.
What actually wins bids:
Respond quickly. Early, complete bids get read first.
Price with a reason. A clear price tied to what the job needs beats the lowest number.
Show relevant work. A bid that points to a similar shoot in your portfolio lands better than a generic one.
Be specific about availability. "I can be there Thursday morning" beats "flexible".
