How Quote-Based charters work on Terasor (and how to win more bids)

Terasor

Quote-Based is the charter type for specific jobs: a client describes what they need, local pilots quote, and the client picks one. It is where most bespoke work comes through.

How it flows:

  1. The client posts a charter with the location, timing and requirements.

  2. You submit a bid with your price and availability.

  3. The client chooses a pilot and the payment goes into escrow.

  4. You fly, upload the footage, and once it is approved you keep 90 percent of the charter.

What actually wins bids:

  • Respond quickly. Early, complete bids get read first.

  • Price with a reason. A clear price tied to what the job needs beats the lowest number.

  • Show relevant work. A bid that points to a similar shoot in your portfolio lands better than a generic one.

  • Be specific about availability. "I can be there Thursday morning" beats "flexible".
